AnnaMalyar is an experimental display typeface inspired by the visual scars left on urban architecture. Its forms reference the widespread practice of repairing facade cracks with contrasting paint, turning buildings into layered surfaces marked by time, decay, and intervention. Designed as a social statement, the typeface intentionally challenges readability, shifting attention from information to texture, damage, and repair. The project includes a set of alternate characters and a companion script version created in collaboration with lettering artist and typographer Ivan Kazukov.
