KRAI

The Krai typeface is inspired by mistakes, accidents, and contrasts noticed during walks around Saint Petersburg. While creating the letters, I was drawn to the details of the city — their irregularity, imperfections, malfunctions, and unusual contexts. Looking at these discoveries, I became interested in reflecting on their history. Through analyzing the material, I came to realize that for me the city is not architecture and nature, but people and what they bring into the city or leave behind by chance.
